WebI got my BitPay debit card about a month ago and my biggest compliant was that they did not have an app like this or even a wallet that I can hold my bitcoin in to make conversions easier. I was thinking about trying out other cards but now I might just stick with BitPay. WebIMO, keeping people focused on the positives via the latter approach will slow everyone down a lot less, and maybe even inspire the bitpay team into coming over to the light side as opposed to getting caught up in petty "he said, she said" Twitter / Reddit debates.

WebThat is pretty solud, huh. Legit as it gets. They offer a bitcoin debit card which is pretty sweet, instantly transfer your btc into spendable money on a BitPay visa card. Yes, I use them frequently. Yes, they've been around forever. You don't get more legit than them. WebBitPay used to handle the Tor project's BTC donations, too. Bitpay's BTC invoicing was notoriously impossible to do over Tor. Which was funny in a way, because you ultimately couldn't donate to Tor over Tor using the most pseudonymous crypto at the time if you were a privacy-conscious donator. I believe it has been fixed since, though.
WebWhen I see a merchant that redirect my BTC payment to a Bitpay or Coinbase like merchant page, I cancel the payment and NEVER user that merchant again until is "fixing" the problem. Bitcoin was created EXACTLY to avoid intermediaries like these in a tx between 2 parties. You better pay with fiat and leave your BTC for other merchants.

Anyway, they switched from Visa to Mastercard which has a security chip.
