Is their and "easy" way to replace it While under the truck replacing brakes I see that the rad support on my 96 (97) f350 5.8L is starting to rot pretty bad. I took it in to a place to see what it would cost to replace and got back a quote of at least $1700 plus probably a few more hours. WebFeb 9, 2013 · Boy did that hurt. Check engine light came on last week. Truck starts/runs/drives normal. Took it to the dealer and they said the thermostat and gasket was bad. Almost $600 to replace, all labor I'm told. Wow. I knew dealer work on this thing would be a lot but wow. So I look at my receipt and see the computer scan was $157 by itself!
