SpletI thought buying a serger was going to be so useful and such a time saver but I use it around 1/10th of the time (and probably less than that) I use my regular sewing machine. Also they are not as easy to use as you may think. I have spent evenings trying to work out kinks in my serged seams and it can be a little bit overwhelming for a beginner. Splet12. dec. 2014 · In my humble opinion, it's ok buying used sergers but only from trusted sources: you should ideally be able to check an used machine before you buy it (even better: let someone experienced test it for you, someone who can spot problems just hearing the sound of the engine, or note some warning signals you could even miss!).
